Tasting Notes: Zillah 2006 is the debut release of a reserve merlot by Bridge Pa. Aptly named for Zillah Daysh the family's youngest daughter; it is vivacious and full of promise. This single vineyard wine is made from the very best hand picked fruit grown on the Ngatarawa Road vineyard. Crafted by Bruce Helliwell using traditional winemaking techniques Zillah 2006 displays a breath of aromas including rich fruit and spice, and the unmistakable Bridge Pa Vineyard perfume. The long complex palate is full bodied, smooth and intense with berry and black plum combining with spicy oak and an intriguing earthiness. A beautifully balanced multi layered wine supported by ripe tannins and rounded acidity.

Technical Notes:

• Cellaring Potential: Drinking well on release and has the structure to develop further and will reward cellaring of up to 8 years
